David Hockney by David Hockney — Fine Art

David Hockney by David Hockney uses bright flat planes of colour set next to one another. The picture follows a clear layout of separate colour blocks. Each block stays sharp at its edges and the paint sits on the paper with even pressure.

This fine art print keeps those hard edges clean on matte paper. The paper does not shine under a lamp, so the bright blues and yellows stay soft. You can pick a light frame for a dark wall or a dark frame for a pale wall.

It fits on a hallway wall near the stairs. From the landing you see the broad colour bands first, then the clear line between each block. The view stays simple even when you pass by.
