Desert

A desert scene sits under a wide sky in Richard Pousette-Dart work. Broad fields of sand and pale ground meet a thin band of horizon. The picture uses thick paint marks and layered shapes to build the open land.

This print is a fine art print set in a frame, with a back panel. The matte surface keeps the warm sand tones steady and the frame holds the image flat on the wall.

It hangs in a study on a low wall. From the desk you see the colour bands, and from the chair you notice the rough paint texture.
