Design — Fine Art

Design by Sonia Delaunay places curved colour planes against a plain ground. The bands cross and tighten until they meet at sharp edges. Sonia Delaunay built these forms from repeated arcs that pull the eye in several directions at once.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The work shares the rhythm found in her wider orphism studies, where colour moves across the page without a single focal point. A metal hanger is fitted to the back, so the print goes straight onto a nail or screw.

The matte surface keeps the colours steady when the room light shifts. The print hangs on a kitchen wall beside a tall window. From the table you see the bright arcs across the top, and the smaller marks settle near the lower edge.
