About this work
A divided layout sets the picture in two parts. Dichotomic Organization - 1959 uses solid colour planes placed against one another, with a hard edge holding each side. The shapes stay flat and the meeting line stays sharp. Lorser Feitelson worked in this hard edge style.
This fine art print sits in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper takes the flat colours without a shine, so each plane reads clearly under indoor light. You get a ready to hang piece when the assembled option is used.
It fits a study wall above a plain desk. From the chair you see the two colour fields side by side, and the sharp dividing line stays clear across the surface.
