A wash of umber pools at the bottom. Distillation, 1973, lets color breathe without edges.
Thin veils of ochre drift into pale cobalt, as if the paint itself evaporated and condensed on the canvas. Brushstrokes are absent; gravity and time did the work. The top half holds a faint blush, like sunlight through fog, while the lower edge darkens to burnt sienna.
Hang it where morning light can skim the surface—above a low credenza or beside a quiet reading chair.
