About this work
Eighths - 1967 opens with a narrow strip of grey running along the bottom edge. Above it, a pale field stays mostly empty, with the weight settled low. Mark Lancaster leaves the centre open, so the eye rests on the thin line before lifting.
You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame to buy. That plain paper keeps the grey tones steady and stops a shine from showing under a lamp.
A narrow hallway wall shows the strip first, then the open space above it. From the stairwell you see the low weight, and from the door the empty centre stays calm.
