Electric Prisms 1 — Fine Art

Electric Prisms 1 starts with a bright band that cuts across the upper half. The eye follows that line down into a field of angled colour planes. Empty space stays open near the lower edge.

Sonia Delaunay built the picture from overlapping arcs and sharp edges. The fine art frame in white gives the image a clean border. That edge holds the bright bands in place and keeps the colours from spilling into the wall.

You notice the clear line between picture and wall first. The work sits on a bedroom wall above a low chest. In the morning light you see the angle of each colour plane against the white frame.
