Elijah — Fine Art

A broad band of colour crosses the sheet in Elijah - 1969. The paint holds its shape along the top and fades toward the lower edge. Ronnie Landfield built the image from a few large planes of colour, leaving much of the paper open.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. The matte surface keeps the colour bands soft under a lamp and the light does not bounce back at you.

It sits on a corridor wall where you pass it every day. From the landing you see the colour band first, and when you stand near the door the painted edges and the open paper become clear.
