Etretat, the Beach and the Porte dAval shows a broad shore with a stone arch cutting into the rock. Sand and sea meet along the bottom edge. The painter uses quick, broken strokes to lay down water, sky and the chalk cliff.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The call of Etretat, the Beach and the Porte dAval lands on the matte paper. A metal hanger is fitted to the back so you can place it on a nail without a frame.

On a hallway wall you see the arch shape first, then the small strokes of the tide line. From the stair landing the colours read as a soft stretch of coast. You notice the broken paint on the cliff face as you pass by.
