Eve - 1995 shows a painted field where colour is washed across the sheet. The marks spread and thin out towards the edge. Helen Frankenthaler worked with poured paint that soaks into the ground. The image stays open and does not fill every corner.

A white frame gives this fine art print a clean edge that sits against the painted field. The finish keeps the paint tones clear and does not add a new colour of its own. The line between image and frame stays simple.

In a quiet reading corner the broad painted areas read from a chair across the room. The soft edges stay even when the lamp is low. You notice the washed colour first, then the thin line at the side.
