About this work
Bold outlines and solid colour blocks fill Fight Aids Worldwide 1990. Figures in red and black move across a white ground with simple graphic marks. The picture comes from Keith Haring, who made public drawings in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
This fine art print sits on a matte sheet so the red stripes stay flat and the black lines do not glare. The frame finish can follow the wall behind it, a dark frame against a pale wall or a light frame on a dark wall. The paper holds the bright colour without a shine.
It fits on a hallway wall beside a wooden bench. From the landing you see the big red marks first, then the small outline figures lower down. The dark frame keeps the bright shapes clear against the plaster.
