For Carmen

A soft band of colour moves across the sheet in For Carmen - 1975. Ronnie Landfield lays the paint in a steady sweep, with one tone pressing harder than the one beside it. The mark stays flat against the open ground.

The fine art print comes in a white frame, a wood frame, a dark wood frame or a black frame. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall, so the painted band meets a hard line at its side.

On a dining room wall, you notice the painted band first from the doorway, then the small changes in the sweep as you walk past the table.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
