Garland of Flowers — Fine Art

Soft green leaves and pale flower heads form a loose circle in Garland of Flowers by Pierre-Auguste Renoir. Thin separate brush marks build up the petals in warm yellows and reds. The artist worked with oil on canvas and let the paint stay broken on the surface.

This fine art print keeps those separate colour patches clear on matte paper. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall and keeps the light reds from blending into the background.

In a narrow hallway between two doors the circular garland reads as one shape from the landing. Closer to the wall you notice the small separate strokes on each flower head.
