Giglio daqua

Across a mostly bare sheet, a few dark strokes cluster near the left side and leave the rest open. Giglio daqua - 1984 is a small piece with most of the surface empty.

Mario Schifano often worked with quick painterly marks and a thin layer of oil paint on paper. The fine art print arrives with a metal hanger fitted to the back, so it goes straight onto a nail or screw.

You do not need a separate frame. In a kitchen, the pale background stays soft under the cooker light and the dark marks hold their own without competing with the room.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch. These are estimates, and there is no express option. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page, and you can see exactly how your piece is packed.

If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, email us within 7 days of delivery with photos and your order number, and keep all packaging. We will send a free replacement at no cost to you. See our refund policy for the full process.
