Global Village 1-36 - Abstract Expressionism pushes marks across the sheet with uneven pressure and quick hand movement. Broad strokes and thin lines overlap in layers that keep changing as the eye moves. John Cage worked with this kind of open gesture in his drawing practice. The marks do not settle into one clear shape.

This fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel behind it. The paper holds the grey and black marks without a glossy shine, so the layered strokes read as they are drawn.
