Green and White — Fine Art

Green and White sets cool tones against a pale ground. The marks lean toward plant shapes without drawing a single leaf. You can see the artist worked in broad colour planes rather than tight detail. The frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall. A white frame keeps the border quiet against the pale ground. A black frame sets the greens apart from the lighter tones. A wood frame joins the picture to a room.

The fine art paper holds the pigment without shine. Under a lamp the surfaces stay matte and the tones do not shift. The print reads the same in bright air and in a dim corner.

In a kitchen the green shapes sit above the sink. From the table you see the colour blocks and the plain space around them.
