Hang Up 1966 1 — Fine Art

A stretched form hangs from a thin rope and leans against a plain background. The work shows a rounded brown object suspended in space. Eva Hesse made the picture using everyday materials and simple shapes. You can see the texture of the surface and the way the object reaches upward.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang. A metal hanger is fitted to the back and goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The print sits flat against the wall once it is up.

It fits well in a narrow hallway with white paint and a single lamp near the ceiling. You notice the hanging rope and the curved shape first when you walk past. The piece does not fill the space but points to it.
