Harney Desert 02

Harney Desert 02 shows wide open ground with a long pale sky above. Childe Hassam paints this scene with short broken strokes and a dry colour range. The work belongs to American impressionism, a period built on outdoor looking and quick marks on canvas.

The object is a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte face keeps the dusty tones soft and stops glare under a lamp. The frame and panel arrive assembled when the ready to hang option is used.

It fits a long bedroom wall beside the window. From the bed you see the flat land and the high sky. You notice the small paint strokes when you pass the door.
