Harvest II, 1975- by Helen Frankenthaler works from soak stain painting, a method Helen Frankenthaler made her own and used throughout her career. The sheet carries thin colour layers laid across a plain ground, with the pigment pooling in places and thinning out elsewhere.

The fine art print uses a matte paper so the washes keep a soft face and the lighter stains do not glare under a bulb. A light frame sits on a dark wall, or a dark frame on a pale one, and the frame finish can follow the room you choose.

It goes on a dining room wall beside a timber sideboard, hung at shoulder height so the broad colour areas read from the doorway and the thin edges show when you stand near the table.
