About this work
Hereditarius No 1 68 A by Park Seo-Bo (1968)
Delicate lines emerge from a muted field in Park Seo-Bo's Hereditarius No 1 68 A. The artwork is a study in repetition and restraint, where subtle variations in texture and tone create a sense of depth and movement across the surface.
The canvas is dominated by a pale, almost parchment-like background, punctuated by thin, vertical lines that seem to whisper rather than shout. These lines, varying in intensity and spacing, draw the eye into a meditative rhythm. The overall effect is one of quiet contemplation, a visual hymn to the beauty of simplicity.
This print finds its place in a study or library, where the hushed tones and rhythmic lines complement the quiet concentration of the room.
