Homage to the Square la Tehuana 1951 shows four nested rectangles, each a flat colour sitting inside the next. The outer bands use deeper tones and the middle ring fades toward a warmer centre.

The fine art print uses matte paper so the tones in each square stay separate and the centre ring does not wash out under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall keeps the outer band readable, and a dark frame on a pale wall gives the middle ring room to sit without competing with the surface.

It hangs on the landing wall beside the narrow stairs, where the light changes through the day. From the bottom step you read the outer rectangle first, then the middle ring, then the warm centre, and the colours stay in order as you move up.
