Hot Springs of the Yellowstone — Fine Art

Hot Springs of the Yellowstone shows a thermal pool set in rough ground with steam rising from the water and bright mineral colours against darker stone.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. Thomas Moran worked in the American landscape painting tradition and painted these warm spring scenes with a naturalist landscape technique. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall so the pale water and bright terracotta tones stay clear.

The frame finish reads quietly against the warm colours in the water and the rough ground around it. It settles on the bedroom wall near the sleeping area where the soft greens and browns stay calm in the evening light.
