I Love Life — Fine Art

I Love Life shows a pale ground with thin horizontal lines drawn in pencil across the page. Agnes Martin sets soft grey marks against a quiet white field so each line sits just above the next. The tones stay close together and the surface feels evenly lit.

A fine art print keeps those pencil lines soft because the paper has a matte finish. The frame can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. You see the same steady hand from the door and from where you stand close.

It works on a bedroom wall where the morning light falls across the bed. From the bed you notice the pale lines and the open white space beside them. The room stays calm and the picture stays quiet.
