I Saw That #281

I Saw That #281 - 1984 shows a single stroke that starts thick, thins out, then lifts off at the end. Stephen Mueller lets the paint stay rough where the brush pressed hard and smooth where it moved fast. The mark runs across the sheet with room on both sides.

This fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. You do not need to buy a frame separately.

It fits a hallway wall near the coat hooks, seen from the first step inside. From there you read the long stroke as one quick move. Closer up you notice the broken paint where the brush slowed and turned.
