About this work
Impossibles 1931 by Josef Albers sets geometric shapes against a measured background. The forms stack and overlap, creating relationships between the edges.
This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The work belongs to the Bauhaus geometric painting method, where Albers tested how shapes read next to one another. The paper is matte, so the tones stay soft without a shine under a lamp. A metal hanger is fixed to the back, so the sheet goes straight onto a nail or screw.
No separate frame is needed. It suits a study wall where the flat shapes stay clear from a desk chair. From the desk you read the stacked forms, and from the doorway the whole sheet reads as one block.
