Interlaced Hexagon — Fine Art

The print Interlaced Hexagon turns to the geometric drawing practice of MC Escher, where shapes lock together in measured forms. Here the title tells you what to look for, a ring of linked six sided shapes that cross and pass through each other. The drawing stays on a plain ground so the line work reads first.

This fine art print uses a frame in one of four finishes, white, wood, dark wood or black. The frame edge gives the picture a clear line on the wall and keeps the hexagon pattern from drifting at the edge.

It fits a study room wall where you stand at a desk and notice the repeated turns in the line. From that angle the joined shapes read as a steady pattern rather than a busy surface.
