Italian Horticultural Landscape — Fine Art

Italian Horticultural Landscape by Gustav Klimt sets fruit and leaves against a warm ground. The reds of the fruit sit next to the green of the leaves, and the gold tones tie the two together. The scene feels like a garden bed seen close at hand.

The fine art print uses a light frame on a dark wall so the red fruit reads clearly without glare. A wood frame beside a wooden shelf keeps the gold tones from looking too warm.

In a kitchen, the picture sits on the end wall above the counter. From the table you see the fruit shapes first, then the gold lines, with the sink light washing the lower part softly.
