Jar Of Peaches — Fine Art

Jar Of Peaches by Claude Monet shows a round fruit basket sitting on a table and filled with warm yellow fruit against a soft background. A few light green leaves sit near the top of the bowl. The tones stay close together and the edges are loose and open.

The fine art print sits on a wall where daylight falls from the side. A light frame on a dark wall makes the yellow tones read clearly, and a dark frame on a pale wall keeps the background calm. You see the fruit shapes first and the painted marks second.

It fits well on a kitchen wall above a breakfast counter. From the doorway you notice the bowl shape and the warm fruit tones before you see the brushwork. The scene stays simple and the colours stay close together.
