About this work
A dark bar and a curved line cross the page in L Ch. The marks move with speed and pressure, each one carrying its own weight. Laszlo Moholy-Nagy made these shapes as part of his Bauhaus study of line and form, testing how a simple stroke can change the whole page.
This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The black frame gives the page a clean edge, so the black line reads against the solid border instead of fading into the room. The white frame lets the thin line stay open and even against the border.
On a hallway shelf you see the long bar first, then the curve on the side wall. The thin line catches the lamp light when you walk past.
