Landscape 1907 2 — Fine Art

Landscape 1907 2 by Andre Derain shows a countryside scene with trees and sky set in a strong colour arrangement. The picture uses thick paint marks and clear outlines to build the shapes, in the style of Fauvism. The trees and ground hold warm tones that stand apart from the blue sky.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the paint colours steady and the frame gives the image a clean border. You see the whole scene without a glare under room light.

It fits a hallway with a pale door and a strip of daylight. From the far end of the corridor you notice the tree shapes first, and as you walk closer the thick paint marks become clear.
