Landscape 1909

Landscape 1909 uses broad areas of colour to show land and sky. The eye enters at the centre and settles into the wide bands of tone. Empty space around the edges keeps the scene calm and open.

A metal hanger is fixed to the back, so the print goes straight onto a nail. The paper is matte, which keeps the painted colour soft under a lamp and suits the loose colour areas of this fine art piece.

Hang it on a plain wall above a low shelf. From three paces away the big colour bands read clearly. Close up the paper grain sits under the pigment and the edges stay soft.
