Landscape Near Chatou 1904 1 — Fine Art

Landscape Near Chatou 1904 1 draws on the bold colour work of early twentieth century painting. Fields of strong green and brown sit beside wide sky. Thick painted strokes press against the surface. Andre Derain worked in this way when he painted the countryside outside Paris. The picture keeps its colours flat and open.

You get the fine art print with a hanger already on the back. The frame finish can follow the room, a light frame on a dark wall or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. One wall in your home holds the print with no other objects nearby.

It fits a reading corner where a lamp throws a warm glow across the sheet. You notice the broad green bands first, then the small breaks of brown stroke. The room feels steady with the picture on that wall.
