Landscape of Puy de Dôme — Fine Art

Landscape of Puy de Dôme shows a volcanic peak rising from a rolling countryside. Armand Guillaumin paints the sky in broad bands of blue and green, with the hillside picked out in warm yellow and orange strokes. The image reads as a stretch of land under open air.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. With this landscape, the white border keeps the yellow and orange tones from running out to the edge of the sheet.

It suits a bedroom wall where the morning light comes in sideways. From the bed you see the hill shape first, then the blue sky above it. On a narrow landing wall the same image stays calm and does not pull the eye away from the steps.
