Leonid Afremov by Leonid Afremov — Fine Art

Leonid Afremov works in thick paint laid in short strokes across the surface. The picture shows a street scene with buildings and figures, painted in bright colour against a dark ground. You can see the direction of each brush mark and the gaps of bare surface between them.

The fine art print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte paper keeps the painted colour soft, so the light areas do not shine under a lamp.

It works on a kitchen wall above the table. From the doorway you see the bright colour blocks across the scene. Standing by the sink you notice the short brush strokes and the dark spaces between them.
