Lime-Lemon

Lime-Lemon - 1970 shows painted bands of colour that step across the sheet in one direction. The stripes move through green and yellow tones side by side. The picture sits in the colour field painting period, where flat colour fills the picture plane.

The fine art print sits inside a frame with a back panel. The frame holds the paper steady and the back panel keeps the edges clean.

On a kitchen wall near the sink, the bright bands show up while you wash dishes. From the table you see the yellow stripes, from the door the green ones.
