Living Flame

Living Flame - 1954 shows a busy field of marks in varied tones. The lines cross and cluster, with patches of brighter tone pushing through the darker wash. The work feels like a study of moving energy on paper.

This fine art print sits in a frame with a wood finish on the outer edge. The wood line gives the picture a steady border and holds the looser marks inside a clear shape.

In a narrow hallway, the brighter patches catch the passage light while the darker areas stay soft. The frame edge reads first, then the crossed lines show up as you pass by.
