About this work

Loup Scar Wharfedale

A rugged outcrop dominates the scene. Loup Scar Wharfedale is a study in contrasts, where the raw, weathered rock face meets the soft, undulating hills of Wharfedale. The painting captures the stark beauty of the landscape, with the scarred cliff rising abruptly from the earth, its surface a tapestry of shadows and highlights. Richard Jack renders the scene with a keen eye for detail, using a muted palette of greens, browns, and grays to convey the natural hues of the countryside. The brushstrokes are precise, yet there is a sense of movement in the way the light plays across the rock and the gentle slopes of the dale. The composition draws the viewer into the scene, inviting a closer look at the textures and layers of the landscape. This print brings a piece of the English countryside into your home. It fits seamlessly into a study or a living room with a rustic touch.

Information

Frequently asked

Yes. This is a stretched canvas, not a rolled or loose print: the image is printed on a cotton-polyester canvas (300 to 350 gsm) and wrapped over FSC-certified wood stretcher bars, 4 cm deep. A hanging kit is included in the box, so no frame, glazing or assembly is needed. Hardware supplied can vary slightly by country depending on which of our ateliers produces your piece.
The canvas is a cotton-polyester blend, 300 to 350 gsm (350 to 400 microns), printed with archival pigment inks and stretched over responsibly sourced, FSC-certified wood stretcher bars. This edition is the 4 cm Thick profile, which gives the piece real presence on the wall and lets it hang cleanly without a frame. The texture of the weave is part of the finish and is visible up close. To clean it, dust gently with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid water, solvents and direct sunlight for long periods. Every canvas is printed and shipped on demand, so there is no minimum order and nothing sits in a warehouse.
As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.
For your country, this piece is estimated at 4 to 7 business days from the moment you order, on our free tracked Economy service. Express is offered at checkout where available. Every piece is printed at the atelier closest to you, which is why the timing differs by format. Full country-by-country ranges are on our estimated delivery times page.
If your piece arrives damaged, defective, or isn't what you ordered, let us know within 30 days of delivery and we'll send a free replacement or refund — no need to send anything back first in most cases. See our refund policy for the full process.
