Manual — Fine Art

A wide field of white and off white fills Manual - Minimalism. The paint sits in thin layers, and the edges of the canvas show through in places. You notice the small differences in tone when you stand near the sheet.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper holds the soft whites without shine, so the tone shifts stay even under a lamp. A light frame on a dark wall lets the pale surface stay front and the edges step back.

On a hallway wall at shoulder height, you see the broad white field first. Step closer and the thin bands and small marks across the surface come into view. Robert Ryman painted in this plain way for years.
