Midnight Blue — Fine Art

Midnight Blue by Barnett Newman sets a deep blue field against a darker ground. A single wide vertical band cuts through the sheet and holds the eye in place. The blue does not glow, it stays quiet and heavy.

The fine art print keeps the colour flat and even across the sheet. You can match the frame finish to the wall, a light frame on a dark wall or a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture.

It fits a long wall in a study, placed low enough that the top edge clears the door frame. From the doorway the broad blue shape reads first, and from the desk the thin band gives the whole sheet a steady line.
