Moon Meditation — Fine Art

Moon Meditation shows a dark oval shape set against a calm field of grey and cream. The eye settles on the round form and the space around it.

Richard Pousette-Dart worked in a mid century abstract painting practice, building forms from layered paint and quiet colour changes. The fine art print keeps those soft tones without a shine under a lamp.

The white frame gives the picture a clear edge on the wall and holds the round shape apart from the room. It works on a bedroom wall near a low lamp, where the grey field stays even and the dark oval reads from the doorway.
