Morano Calabria — Fine Art

The title Morano Calabria points to a measured study of a southern Italian coast. MC Escher built the scene from steady black lines on a pale sheet, the sort of graphic practice he kept returning to. The image reads as a place, not a pattern.

The frame finish can follow the room: a light frame on a dark wall, a dark frame on a pale wall, or a wood frame beside wooden furniture. That choice lets the fine art print settle beside what is already there. The matte surface keeps the greys soft and stops a shine under a lamp.

In a hallway with a narrow wall and morning light from the side, you notice the line work first, then the roof shapes lower down. The view stays calm at that distance and does not ask for attention.
