Morning Series — Fine Art

Morning Series - 1974 shows fresh paint strokes laid over a quiet field of colour. The marks rise in layers, each one a different tone from the next. The final rows fade toward the edge where the colour thins out.

The picture sits on matte fine art paper so the paint lines hold their edges and the lighter tones stay flat under a lamp. A light frame pairs with a dark wall, or a wood frame goes beside a wooden table, letting the paper take the light without a shine.
