Mother and Egg 1947 shows a pale shape beside a round form on a faded paper ground. The surface holds small torn pieces and uneven spots.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. Kurt Schwitters worked with found paper and leftover scraps in his collages. The white frame puts a clean edge around the soft greys and browns.

The dark marks stay clear against the lighter areas. A narrow hall with a dim switch shows the paper texture from a few paces away.
