Mountain Home, Idaho

Mountain Home, Idaho shows a small Idaho valley with bare hills and a quiet road. Childe Hassam treats the open land with quick painted strokes and a cool sky above. The brushwork stays loose and direct, with the hills built from short colour marks.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The print arrives ready to hang, with a metal hanger fitted to the back that goes straight onto a nail or screw. No separate frame is needed. The matte surface keeps the soft sky tones from shining under a lamp.

It works well on the wall at the end of a hall where the light comes from the side door. From the stairs you see the broad hill shapes first, and closer you notice the short painted strokes.
