Nasturtiums and Pink Cups 1981 — Fine Art

Nasturtiums and Pink Cups 1981 shows leafy stems and bright nasturtium flowers laid against a stack of pink cups. The brushwork sits in quick strokes where the petals meet the glass. Janet Fish paints the weight of the fruit and the thin rim of the cup with a steady hand.

The fine art print goes straight onto a nail. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall and lets the pink cups sit without a dark border pulling the eye away.

On a kitchen wall above the sink, the long stems draw the eye across the basin and the pink cups hold a soft colour in the morning light. You see the paint texture when you stand at the counter.
