New Bridge — Fine Art

New Bridge by Tarsila do Amaral shows a river scene with two banks and a bridge crossing between them. The picture uses broad colour fields and clear outlines, in the modernist style of the artist. Tarsila do Amaral painted many Brazilian landscapes with this kind of flat colour and simple shape.

The fine art print comes ready to hang. The white frame gives the picture a clean edge on the wall. The frame finish keeps the painted colours separate from the room around it. You see the line of the bridge without any distraction from the frame.

In a bedroom, the print hangs above the bed. From the foot of the bed, the bridge line draws the eye across the sheet. The white frame stays quiet against the painted sky.
