Ngarlu Love Story — Fine Art

Ngarlu Love Story - 1993 shows a path of joined dots and pale lines moving across a flat field. The marks sit in open space with room to breathe. Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri built country stories from dot work and long runs of paint.

The picture arrives as a fine art print set in a frame with a back panel. The matte paper keeps the thin lines soft and stops a lamp from glinting off the dots.

It suits a quiet corner of a bedroom where the morning sun lands on the wall. From the bed you see the path clear, and from the door the whole field reads as one steady shape.
