No. 1 Royal Red and Blue

Two broad colour fields sit on top of each other in No. 1 Royal Red and Blue.

The upper band is red against a blue ground below. The edges between them are not sharp, and the paint does what Mark Rothko often aimed for in his colour field work, a soft meeting of tone rather than a hard line.

This fine art print is set in a frame with a back panel, so the picture stays protected and ready to hang as one unit. A reader notices the red band first from the kitchen doorway, then the blue field fills the lower half of the wall.

As a guide: 40×50 cm suits a desk or small wall, 50×70 cm sits well above a sofa or bed, and 70×100 cm anchors a room as a focal piece. If you'd like advice for your space, send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a size.

For your country, this piece is estimated at 5 to 8 business days from the moment you order, including production, with free tracked delivery. Every piece is made to order by the print partner closest to you; framed pieces take a little longer because each one is framed and checked before dispatch.
