Orange Disaster — Fine Art

Orange Disaster shows a flat orange field with one dark mark inside it. The shape sits off centre and the rest of the surface stays open. You see the orange first and the mark second. Andy Warhol used bold flat colour in this kind of work.

The fine art print runs on a matte sheet that keeps the orange dull and even. A light frame on a dark wall lets the orange stand out without a shine. The frame finish can follow the room instead of pulling focus.

It fits a hallway wall where the light hits the surface straight on. From the door the orange field reads as one block and the dark mark reads as a small cut. The eye settles there and moves on.
