Orange no. 2 1939 — Fine Art

Orange no. 2 1939 - Precisionism by Ralston Crawford shows a pale ground with a few sharp shapes placed across it. The shapes stay hard edged and sit apart from one another. From a doorway the forms read as a quiet arrangement.

This fine art print is ready to hang on arrival. The paper is matte, so the orange tones stay even under a lamp and the pale areas do not shine. A light frame on a dark wall lets the shapes hold their own.

It fits a bedroom wall above the bed at a height you can see from the doorway. The orange shapes hold the space without filling it. From the bed you notice the hard edges and the pale ground. The picture stays quiet and the room keeps its own shape.
